🙏🏽 Dear Heavenly Father – As we finish reading the book of Acts, we thank You for Luke’s recording of how the early Church began.  We see Your hand in spreading of the Gospel message of salvation. We praise You for two thousand years of communicating through the Spirit so that today, we can still hear Your voice.  Let us respond in a way that honors, pleases, and glorifies You.  We pray this in the name of our Savior, Jesus. 🙏🏽 Dear Heavenly Father – This little lost sheep can never thank You enough for the overwhelming and faithful love that You are. You’ve demonstrated this by Your provision of a faithful Shepherd who saves His lost sheep… even me!!! (The largest alabaster jar of the most expensive treasure I own, would not be enough to contain my love and my gratitude to You, for the life You’ve restored.)  I draw near again in humble submission to hear what You are ready to speak to my heart today. Strengthen and encourage me; share with me more of Your wisdom, so that I may go where You lead me and honor Your name always. I pray this in the name of my most beautiful Savior, Jesus. Amen.

🙏🏽 Dear Heavenly Father – reveal to us the truth in Your Word.  In a world that speaks in an abundant flow of worthless words, we are inundated with lies.  We are told to ‘Look here,’ ‘Look there,’ ‘This is the way.’ All these messages promise to fulfill our emptiness, yet they fail to deliver. As we read these chapters, help us understand the truth of who You are and the promises You have for us.  Let us recognize the emptiness of the distracting voices around us. Strengthen and mold us to hear Your Truth so that we cheerfully follow You and You alone.  We pray this in the name of our Savior, Jesus. Amen.
