- The Chosen... this developing TV series, based on the Gospels, is magnificent. And it's free. As of today, 4/27/2020, there are over 23 million views. There are only 8 episodes so far, Season one. You can find them on You Tube or download the app to your phone and play them on a Smart TV.
- Pastor Tim at Calvary Church at Crystal Beach. (You have to belong to a church. It's NOT GOOD to be separated from your new family.) When a local church invites you for a mid-week bible study, you go and you grow.
I listen to other great Christian teachers, there are so many on Spotify or YouTube... like Francis Chan. But the ones listed above are my primary resources. Their apps are on my phone and a few are home pages on my computer. In other words, I keep them IN MY FACE, intentionally; it is how I am able to obey what is written:
Romans 12:2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
The greatest influence of all, of course, is The Holy Spirit. I am still being transformed and learning to submit my own will to God's. I find great help in doing that by following those who have succeeded in this before me.
And last, but not least, my sister, Annelie. It is both good and necessary, to have that companion on your journey who will be supportive and honest while you are both adapting to a new way of life.
